Tejasvi Kisan Mart Organises Madhya Pradesh-Level Online Seminar to Shape the Business Future of Farmer Producer Organisations; Company Manufacturing Over 50 Agricultural Products Expresses Interest in Collaboration

Madhya Pradesh: In a significant initiative aimed at transforming Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) into strong, self-reliant and successful business enterprises, rather than keeping them dependent solely on government schemes and subsidies, Tejasvi Kisan Mart (Tejasvi Sangathan Nyas) organised a state-level online seminar on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with representatives of various Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) across Madhya Pradesh. The programme was guided by Er. Prakash Pandey, Founder of Tejasvi Sangathan Nyas.

The seminar witnessed an in-depth discussion on the ground realities of Farmer Producer Companies, including the lack of mutual trust among farmers, inactive boards of directors, absence of regular meetings, weak business operations and excessive dependence on external support.

Er. Prakash Pandey emphasised that Farmer Producer Companies must strengthen their internal management systems instead of holding government departments or supporting institutions solely responsible for their challenges. He stated that an active board of directors, regular meetings, transparency, farmers’ participation and market-oriented business activities are the key pillars of a self-reliant organisation.

He further stated that the objective of an FPC should not be limited to maintaining its registration as an organisation. Instead, it should function as a successful business enterprise that contributes to increasing farmers’ income. For this, farmers must actively participate in every stage, from production and processing to packaging, brand development, marketing and distribution.

Company Manufacturing More Than 50 Agricultural Products Expresses Interest in Collaboration

During the programme, Mr. Akhilesh Shukla, General Manager of Organext Life Science Private Limited, shared information about the company and its agricultural product portfolio.

He informed participants that the company manufactures more than 50 types of agricultural products, including insecticides, fungicides and other crop protection products. He also explained the features and applications of various products, including ‘Organext Ek Sutra’.

The company expressed its willingness to provide product-related training, technical guidance and business support to interested Farmer Producer Organisations. The participants discussed the possibilities of creating new business opportunities for FPOs through the distribution and marketing of agricultural products.

Information on Udyam Registration and New Business Opportunities

The seminar also covered the Government of India’s startup initiatives, Udyam Registration, eligibility criteria, required documents and the registration process. Farmer Producer Organisations were encouraged to explore new business opportunities and benefit from relevant initiatives according to their eligibility.

Tejasvi Kisan Mart’s Network Reaches More Than 8,000 Farmer Producer Organisations

During the programme, participants were briefed about the establishment and achievements of Tejasvi Kisan Mart.

It was informed that the initiative was launched in 2022 through the collective efforts of Tejasvi Sangathan Nyas and Universal Sonanchal Farmer Association. According to the organisation, its contact network has expanded to more than 8,000 Farmer Producer Organisations and Farmer Producer Companies across the country.

The initiative has also undertaken efforts to establish 10 initial stores across four states and has organised more than 100 training programmes.

The objective of Tejasvi Kisan Mart is not merely to operate retail outlets but to develop an integrated business ecosystem connecting farmers, Farmer Producer Companies, Self-Help Groups, manufacturers, processing units, distributors, traders and buyers through a common business platform.

Network of Partner Organisations and Distributors to Be Developed in Every District

Under its upcoming action plan, Tejasvi Kisan Mart has prioritised the development of partner organisation networks in every district, agricultural input distribution systems at district and block levels, regular supply of farmers’ products, the concept of One District–One Store, rural retail outlets, franchise expansion, processing, packaging and brand development.

The initiative also aims to establish a national-level buyer-seller networking system to connect Farmer Producer Organisations directly with markets.

To strengthen and revitalise Farmer Producer Companies, a 12-day training programme, followed by 12 months of ground-level implementation and institutional revival activities, has also been proposed.

Interested organisations have been invited to join the initiative by sharing details of their regularly supplyable products, procurement requirements and business proposals.
